Sacred Heart/Harrison

George Harrison once said in a 1980s or 90s television interview, and I roughly quote here, “500 years from now, when they look back at this time, they will look to/at Bob Dylan”. George was quite a Bob Dylan fan.

Close to the end of his life, Harrison wrote a song called P2 Vatican Blues .

Harrison – Vatican – Freemasonry, alluding/pointing to Freemasons infiltrating the Vatican and Church.

Below: Leo XIII, Humanum genus (1884): The single most detailed and important encyclical on the topic. It synthesizes prior teaching and provides a thorough analysis.

The most important papal documents condemning Freemasonry (and explaining why Catholics cannot join) over the last ~350 years are a series of bulls and encyclicals, starting in 1738. These consistently cite incompatibility with Catholic faith due to religious indifferentism (treating all religions as equal), secrecy and oaths, naturalism (excluding supernatural revelation), hostility to the Church, and threats to civil and moral order.

That infiltration is partly documented in the Bella Dodd story, the intent of some communists, masons and others to enter into the Church, to corrupt and destroy it.

Harrison in the late 1960’s, in a letter to his mother, when addressing his exploration of Eastern religion/Hinduism, wrote, “and it doesn’t affect my dedication to the Sacred Heart in any way. It only strengthens it”.

In 1970 George was not yet 30.

From George Harrison’s song Awaiting On You All

You don’t need no passport
And you don’t need no visas
You don’t need to designate or to emigrate before you can see Jesus
If you open up your heart
You’ll see He’s right there
He always was and will be
He’ll relieve you of your cares

George then continues on in the same song to state some untruth, one being that “the Pope owns 51% of General Motors.” George also says that the stock exchange is the only thing the Pope can quote us. There have been some train wreck popes, but as an atheist said, “let’s face it, without the Catholic Church there would be no western civilization”. Regarding corrupt Popes, I liken it to Christ and His followers. He had twelve close apostles, one betrayed him and hung himself and ten ran away at the most critical time in his life. Only one was at the crucifixion, and that was John.

Harrison mentions the rosary in Awaiting On You All as well, and in an interview later, he talked about counting prayers on his “beads” and he didn’t mean the rosary.

God bless Brother George. His heart and mind were open, and I am confident Jesus Christ was very much there for him before and at the moment of his death. And Christ is still there for and with George.

Many Catholics and former Catholics have great issue with apparent hypocrisy by men and woman in the Church, but wise are those who don’t abandon the sacraments and Jesus Christ. It has been said the Church buries its enemies and as many are aware, there are enemies that have infiltrated the Church.
